Leanne is the President of the Reach Higher Foundation, a newly-formed foundation primarily focused on educational opportunities for under-resourced youth. In 1991, Leanne Huebner co-founded Minds Matter, now a nationwide nonprofit serving 14 cities dedicated to college access and success for bright low income youth. Her early career was at Credit Suisse working on Wall Street and in London where she oversaw a $500 million trading portfolio. After consulting gigs in Munich, Netherlands, and San Francisco, Leanne joined Yahoo! where she closed over $90 million in new revenue, including the tech deal to offer texting on a mobile device for the first time! Over the last ten years, Leanne has focused her boundless energy on nonprofit and advocacy work. From 2013 to 2015, as a Founding Board Chair, Leanne dedicated her life to getting a charter school off the ground and approved in one of the U.S. most densely populated zip codes where only 20% of the mostly low-income students were being prepared for college. In 2014, California State Assembly named her as "Women of the Year" in part for helping secure $2 billion in extra funding for public education. Last month, Loreal Paris recognizing her pioneering work in college access bestowed on her the prestigious "Women of Worth" Honor. Today, she serves on the National Board of Minds Matter as well as the Trustee's Council of Penn Women where she advocated for the recent establishment of Penn's First Gen Low Income Center. A first generation college graduate herself and Pell Grant recipient, Leanne earned a B.S in Finance from Wharton School and an M.B.A from the Harvard Business School.
